Ogress' Lair
According to legend, an ogress lives in the waterfall Háifoss. One day, a teenage boy traveling with his companions threw a rock in the river. That night, angered that the boy had scared away the fish on which she lived, the ogress went to the spot where the travelers were sleeping and tried to pull the boy away by his legs, but his companions held him fast by the upper part of his body. The ogress eventually relented and went away, but the boy was bedridden for a month after the encounter.
Ogress’ Lair was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Fine Art - Landscape category in the PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris
