Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a limited edition?

Limited edition means that there is a fixed number of prints produced for each image. In the case of Garsha18 Fine Art Photography, this number is 50. After the series of a particular image sells out, the image will never be reproduced again.

  • How is my fine art photo created?

All fine art photos purchased from Garsha18 Fine Art Photography are Lumachrome prints. Lumachrome prints far surpass more common, traditional printing methods. It provides unbelievable resolution, clarity, and vibrancy; all combining to bring your fine art photo alive with incredible image quality. Images can often even appear backlit and holographic. With the Lumachrome process, details appear to emerge in 3D from the depths of the image. This is due to a transparency layer that is infused with iridium particles and is encapsulated between a white poly surface and the acrylic face mount. In addition to this 3D depth and dimensionality, your Lumachrome print has brilliant color that will last over 120 years, provides unsurpassed detail and ability to hold highlights, offers superior shadow luminosity and detail, and a radiant glowing response under halogen lighting.

  • Are the images authenticated?

Yes. Each fine art photo bears the artist's signature and the edition number in the bottom right corner. Additionally, you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity verifying your fine art photo.

  • How do I hang my fine art photo?

Your artwork has been shipped with the hardware to hang it included. We use the French cleat method which allows you to mount the hardware directly to the wall using dry wall anchors. The cleat should be oriented with the 45 degree cut facing out. The the artwork has a lip on the back of the frame located at the top which allows you to slide the artwork onto the cleat until fastened securely. If hung correctly, the piece won't move at all on the wall.

  • Should I light my fine art photo?

Lighting your image properly is always recommended for day/night enjoyment depending on the set up of the home or office. The proper degree of lighting will depend on the distance of the light fixture from the artwork. While several light bulbs can sufficiently light your image, Soraa MR16 LED bulbs will give excellent results. It is best to seek the advice of an electrician, lighting professional, or an interior designer to ensure the proper balance of light and presentation of your art.

  • How do I clean my fine art photo?

For regular maintenance of your artwork, we recommend using a microfiber cleaning cloth. We also recommend removing any tags from the cloth first in order to avoid scratching the surface of your photograph. Should dust or residue build up, our recommendation is to use either Brillianize or an eyeglass cleaner for resin lenses along with your microfiber cloth. You should NEVER use an ammonia or alcohol based cleaner or paper towels on your fine art photo. The recommended cleaners have a glossing agent in them that helps reduce dust and fingerprinting. Strong cleaners will statically charge the Acrylic and attract dust and will lead to the need for more frequent cleanings.

Although we use the finest materials in the industry to mount your photograph, it is not immune to scratching. Please be mindful to always treat your artwork with care.

  • What kind of trees are planted as a result of my fine art purchase?

Garsha18 Fine Art Photography partners with theGoodAPI and the Eden Reforestation Project to support wild life diversity, improve coastlines, provide meaningful wages to indigenous populations and grow mangrove trees.

Mangroves are unique ecosystems found throughout the tropics and occupying the intertidal areas of over 120 countries. Globally, mangrove systems are estimated to hold an astounding 20 trillion kilograms of carbon despite representing less than 5% of the world’s terrestrial area, making mangroves a powerful and important carbon sink, more effective than even many rainforests. Equally, as a relatively fast-growing group of species, mangroves sequester carbon at a very fast rate.
